Throughout the month of April, the City of West Hollywood is celebrating National Poetry Month with a full calendar of events, workshops, and projects, all curated by City Poet Steven Reigns.

A digital public art project “Poetry in Lights” consists of two electronic billboards that will showcase twenty-two contemporary living poets alongside excerpts from their work through the end of the month. Additionally, lamppost poetry banners will enliven Santa Monica Boulevard from Sweetzer Avenue to Westbourne Drive, each featuring a poet and a line from a poem. In addition to Steven Reigns, lamppost poets include Laurel Ann Bogen, Bryan Borland, Chiwan Choi, Peggy Dobreer, Blas Falconer, Alexis Rhone Fancer, Aaron Samuels, Lynne Thompson, Lawrence Wilson, and Cecilia Woloch. Events include a free WeHo Arts Poetry Writing Workshop led by Reigns on April 21.
