Every March 14, fans of numbers—as well as of circles and certain circular baked goods—celebrate National Pi Day, the holiday whose star is a number that goes on infinitely. Celebrate 3.14 with poems about math, as well as “Infinite Recess,” a lesson plan that encourages students to combine math and poetry. For those who prefer their Pi Day celebrations to come in the form of dessert, check out Alberto Ríos’s “Perfect for Any Occasion”: "A pie is a pie for one great day."
