The Kentucky State Poetry Society was founded in 1966 to support poets and the craft of poetry regionally as well as nationally, focusing with particular vigor on student and emerging poets. KSPS supports poetry through its adult and student poetry contests, the publication of its poetry journal Pegasus, and through activities which promote poetry throughout the Commonwealth.
