Bumbershoot is an annual festival held in Seattle during the first weekend of September; its diverse programming includes live music, comedy, theatre, film, visual arts, dance performance, and more. Words & Ideas, the festival's literary arts and lectures program, features poets, fiction writers, essayists, panel discussions and readings, exploring where pop culture, media, literature and cultural trends intersect.
