A publisher of poetry, Backwaters Press offers two prizes, the Backwaters Prize and the Omaha Prize. They recently released their first anthology, Watching the Perseids, in February of 2017. Additionally, they maintain the Nebraska Poetry Menu, a site that contains a calendar of literary events around the state.
