Riverfront Readings featuring Mary Bunten and Greg Cenac

Mary Bunten's work has appeared in SAVEUR, Art Lies, The Houston Press, The Austin Chronicle, and elsewhere. She has an MFA from the University of Houston, where she received a C.Glenn Cambor Inprint Fellowship. Previously she worked in the publicity department of W. W. Norton, as a teacher for Writers in the Schools, and as the director of The Writers Place. She lives in Kansas City.

Greg Cenac writes poetry and poetic narratives. His favorite poets are Raymond Carver and Robert Frost who he believes, along with Anton Chekov, have influenced his writing. Mr. Cenac is an engineer by trade, but a poet at heart. He grew up in a French-speaking household in South Louisiana, lived his adult life in Alaska and in the Pacific Northwest, and then settled in Kansas City in 2000. Along with poetry and literature, Mr. Cenac has a passion for Cajun cooking and ballroom dancing. He thanks Sharon Eiker and David Arnold Hughes for their support of his writing.

This event features music by Linda Minson and Friends.
