Dear Mrs. Hacker,

I am writing in regards to your poem “Rune of the Finland Woman.” I thought it really expressed the strength of women. I liked how each line started with the words “She could.” It made me feel strong and confident in myself. By reading this, I wish that I were that friend or that I could have a friend like that. It made me think about my friendships and how each of my friends have characteristics like those mentioned in your poem.

I also love H. C. Andersen’s fairy tale “The Snow Queen” and I loved how you tied the concept of that story into your poem. I think it is especially meaningful that you mention your real life friend. I haven’t read a lot of poetry, but this poem in particular makes me excited to read and discover more poems. Thank you for writing something so special, and I think many girls will be inspired by you and your poetry.

Best regards,

Lucy
