Frank X Walker
Poet Laureate of Kentucky, 2013–14
Frank X Walker is the author of Load in Nine Times (W. W. Norton, 2024) and A is for Affrilachia (The University Press of Kentucky, 2023), among other titles.
The recipient of fellowships from the Lannan Foundation, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and the Black Caucus American Library Association, among other organizations, Walker served as the poet laureate of Kentucky from 2013–14. He lives in Lexington.
