Carmen R. Marín

Carmen R. Marín was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and was raised in Yauco. She is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez. She also holds a master’s degree in Spanish from Binghamton University and is pursuing a doctorate in Hispanic Language and Literature from Stony Brook University. Marín is the author of Encamadas (Trabalis Editores, Puerto Rico, 2020); the hybrid textbook Cosmogonías y otras sales (Editora Educación Emergente, Puerto Rico, 2019); and Salvahuidas (Erizo Editorial, 2013). 

A writer, editor, and teacher, Marín is the founder of Con Acento. She worked as an editor at the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture Publishing House. In 2021, she was named an inaugural Letras Boricuas Fellow by the Flamboyan Foundation. She currently lives in San Juan.
