Alice Stone Blackwell

Alice Stone Blackwell, born on September 14, 1857, in East Orange, New Jersey, was a journalist, translator, women’s rights activist, and prominent socialist. She is the translator of Studies in Spanish-American Literature (Brentano’s Publishers, 1920) and Armenian Poems: Rendered into English Verse (Roberts Brothers, 1896), among other titles. She died on March 15, 1950.
