There is a hot light

There is a hot light that hangs around living
beings. To feel juicy and hot from the inside. That
is what I remember. The kind of constant you don’t
recognize until it’s gone. Like the taste of carbon.

As a ghost, I can still speak, but it sounds
like 6inging howling devil babies kicking rocks
twisting bark coyotes.

I have found a pool where people swim in the
summer, and when they are submerged in the icy water,
I try and slip into their bodies. Nothing much comes
from it. It’s about as fun as trying to catch a
minnow with a cup.

                            I eat nothing
                                and my friends
                                are licks of wind
